Rubber Soul and Revolver

Has anyone ever wondered about the origin for these two mid-sixties Beatles albums?  I have, indeed.  I have wondered why the titles seemed somewhat unrelated to any of the songs on the albums.  So, I utilized my companion wikipedia to determine the origins.  After intensive research, I discovered that Rubber Soul was named by McCartney after he heard an interview with Mick Jagger where Mick Jagger's singing style was referred to as "plastic soul."  It is simply a parody of this.
And Revolver?  That is simply a pun.  It refers to the handgun, but also to the motion records make.  Why this means anything to the album, I know not; however, it was better than most of their other possible titles: Abracadabra, After Geography (play on Rolling Stones' Aftermath), or Beatles on Safari.

Dear People of the World...

I would like to introduce you to two people who will be known as one person on this blog.  They will be known as drandal for all intents and purposes (note the lack of capitalization).  We (I) hope that you will enjoy the random thoughts that will emit from my head. Thank you.
